In a complete Plastic Inspection Chamber system — comprising Base → Extension Shaft(s) → Reduction Cone → Cover & Frame — the top-most component must provide safe walk-on / drive-over access, watertight sealing with the cone or shaft, anti-slip walking surface, and compatibility with standard clear openings (Ø315mm / Ø450mm / Ø600mm).
The Plastic PP DN1000 Manhole Cover Mould is the precision injection tool that produces the cover lid (sometimes with steel reinforcement slot) and its matching PP frame (square or round) from Polypropylene (PP, MFI 2–6), often with integrally molded anti-slip pattern and EPDM/O-ring seal groove. ② Optimized Cooling & Cycle Time
Covers (thickness 5–12mm) and frames (wall 6–10mm) cool relatively fast, but seal groove & hinge/latch bosses are heat traps:
Baffled water lines + bubbler tubes in frame core for uniform cooling.
Cavity plates with series/parallel water channels 15–20mm from surface.
③ Surface Finish – Anti-Slip Texture & Mirror Polish
Cover Walking Surface: EDM stone texture / diamond-knurl texture (Ra 3–6μm) per EN 124 anti-slip requirement — etched or EDM-textured in cavity.
Frame Socket Interior: Smooth (Ra ≤ 0.8μm) for easy EPDM seal seating.
Branding: Embossed/debossed company logo, load class marking ("B125"), standard (EN 124) — all engraved into cavity/cover-top cavity.
④ Gating, Venting & Ejection
Usually side fan gate or edge overlap gate to fill from frame skirt or cover periphery → avoids weld line on anti-slip top face.
Vents at last-fill zones (hinge boss, lock pin recess) to prevent burn marks.
Ejection via ejector pins under frame flange / cover rim; optionally stripper plate for frame.
Optional two-cavity family mold (1 Cover + 1 Frame in one mold) available for matched sets.
⑤ Optional Steel / Composite Insert Molding
For C250/D400-rated covers: mold can be designed with metal insert placement pockets — steel reinforcing plate placed manually or by robot before close → over-molded with PP.
