The Plastic PP DN1000 Manhole Cone Mould is the precision injection tool that forms this tapered component from Polypropylene (PP), complete with upper/lower socket grooves for EPDM gaskets, internal/external vertical stiffening ribs, and anti-slip ladder rung sockets (optional). At ZHONGYUE MOULD (Huangyan, Taizhou, China), we engineer cone molds with split-cavity (haunched) construction, deep-baffle core cooling with BeCu inserts, and PP shrinkage compensation (1.6–1.8%)—producing cones that meet EN 13598-2 / DIN standards
Cooling controls cycle time (typically 70–120 sec for H=500mm cones):
Inner Core: Deep-drilled baffle with bubbler tube reaching full cone depth → uniform cooling from inside out and minimizes ovality.
Split Cavity Shell: Zoned water lines 18–22mm from molding surface.
Independent temperature zones for core vs cavity to manage differential PP shrink.
③ PP Shrinkage Compensation & Seal Groove Precision
Mold CAD compensated for PP isotropic shrinkage 1.6–1.8%, verified by Moldflow if requested.
Upper & lower seal grooves (for EPDM O-ring / lip seal) machined to ±0.05mm tolerance → ensures watertight joint with adjacent shaft/base/cover.
Internal surface Ra ≤ 0.8μm (smooth option); external ribs with light stone texture.

Parting-line vents along cone length + breather plugs at last-fill zone.
Cold runner standard; hot nozzle optional on high-volume dedicated lines.
⑥ Ejection & Safety Interlocks
Ejection via ejector plate pushing on the flange/shoulder when split cavity opens; sometimes assisted by stripper ring.
Hydraulic interlock sensors prevent mold closure if split cavity not fully closed or cores not retracted.
