The Plastic PP DN1000 Manhole Extension Mould (L=1000mm) is the precision injection tool that produces a smooth-wall or vertically-ribbed cylindrical riser with internal Ø1000mm, matching socket/spigot joints with EPDM rubber seal grooves at top & bottom. ① Split Cavity (Haunched / Two-Half Mold) for Safe Demolding

A Ø1000mm × L1000mm deep-draw thin-wall barrel cannot be stripped from a solid core without excessive draft → requires split cavity design (哈夫模 / split mold):

Cavity splits into 2 or 3 segments (halves / petals) operated by hydraulic cylinders or angled pins for lateral opening.

Core (inner mandrel) is stationary or retractable; product released by opening split cavity.

Precision-machined parting line with minimal flash; mating surfaces ground & fitted.

Draft angle on inner core typically 1°–1.5° (slightly more on outer split cavity) for smooth release.


② Deep-Cavity Cooling – Inner Core & Outer Shell Separation

Cooling dominates cycle time (typically 90–150 sec for L=1000mm shafts):

Inner Core: Deep-drilled baffle + bubbler tube reaching full depth → uniform cooling from inside out.

Outer Split Cavity: Series or parallel water lines spaced 20–25mm from molding surface; BeCu (Beryllium Copper) inserts at thick rib/shaft ends.

③ PP Shrinkage Compensation & Seal Groove Accuracy

Mold designed with PP shrinkage factor 1.6–1.8% isotropically compensated, verified by Moldflow if needed.

Upper & lower socket seal grooves (for Ø-ring EPDM gasket) machined to ±0.05mm tolerance to ensure watertight joint with adjacent shaft/base/cone.

Internal surface can be smooth (Ra ≤ 0.8μm) or with light texture if ribbed.

Typically side fan gate or multiple overlap gates at one end (bottom or top depending on orientation) to fill from socket end upward, minimizing air entrapment in deep cavity.
