Unlike a separate-body storage box + loose lid, this product is molded in ONE shot as a single plastic part: the box body, the lid (single-flap or dual-flap "crocodile" lid), and a thin PP integral living hinge (0.25–0.4mm web) connecting them. The sidewalls have nesting taper (1.5–3° per side) so empty totes nest deeply — nested height 75–90mm vs. full height 220–365mm, saving 60–75% empty return volume. Many versions include tamper-evident seal eyelets, 4-side label holders, and ergonomic handgrips.

Our molds are single-cavity (1×1) producing Body+Lid+Hinge together (optional separate 2-cavity spare lid mold quoted), with BeCu insert cooling at hinge zone (moderated flow to preserve PP ductility & hinge life), central core baffle, hidden submarine gate on lid inner flange, and full DFM validating nesting interference clearance (≥1.5mm per side when nested 10-high) & stacking lip engagement with lid of box below.

Integral Living Hinge Zone — Web Thinning & BeCu Moderated Cooling

Cavity hinge web locally thinned to 0.25–0.4mm (typical 0.3mm for PP MFR 8–12) with R0.15–0.25mm blend radii both sides, mirror-/high-satin polished (SPI A2/B1). BeCu insert at hinge zone runs ΔT 5–6℃ (not over-cooled!) to retain PP molecular orientation & folding endurance (50k+ cycles). Over-cooling → hinge brittle; under-cooling → sink on lid/box near hinge.

Nesting Taper & Interference DFM — 3D Nesting Stack Simulation

Sidewall draft 1.5–3°/side (ID & OD same taper to keep wall thickness constant when nested). We simulate 10–12 nested empties in 3D to verify minimum clearance ≥1.5mm (rec. 2mm) between nested wall & base protrusions (ribs, stacking lip).
