① Correct Steel Selection for Long Life

Nestable pallet molds are large (often 1100×1100mm or 1200×800mm) with complex rib cavities. We recommend:

Mold Base: Pre-hardened P20 (HRC 28–33) or enhanced 50/60# steel with reinforcement ribs to resist deflection.

Cavity / Core Inserts: 718H (1.2738, HRC 33–38) for standard runs; H13 (1.2344, quenched & tempered HRC 44–48) for high-volume or recycled-material production.

Wear Parts: Nitrided sliding blocks, angled lifters, and ejector sleeves for extended service life (500,000–1,000,000+ shots).

② Optimized Cooling System

Pallet molds have thick rib intersections that retain heat. We design:

Baffles, bubblers, and deep-drilled channels in both cavity and core.

BeCu (Beryllium Copper) inserts in hot-spot areas (center hub, leg base) to accelerate cooling and reduce cycle time to 90–150 seconds depending on pallet weight (typically 6–15 kg).

③ Filling & Runner Options

Hot Runner (Recommended for multi-drop): Balanced manifold with valve gates or open gates distributed across deck/rim to fill large thin-wall areas evenly and avoid sink marks.

Cold Runner / 3-Plate: Cost-effective for lower-volume starts; requires sprue/runner handling.

Moldflow analysis ensures balanced fill and minimized warpage for asymmetric nestable leg geometry.

④ Precision Demolding for Tapered Legs

Nestable pallets have tapered 9-feet legs with undercuts. Our molds use:

Hydraulic cylinders + angle lifters or cam-driven slides for leg sidewalls.

Stripper plate / ejector plate with guided pillars long enough to support full ejection stroke—critical for large-format pallets.

Cavity can be stone-textured, anti-slip patterned, or mirror-polished per request.

Embossed/debossed company logo, RFID tag pocket, date/lot codes integrated into mold design.
