In modern logistics and warehousing, plastic pallets have largely replaced wooden ones—they are ISPM-15 exempt, splinter-free, easy to sanitize, and offer consistent dimensions. Among them, the Single Face Plastic Pallet is the most widely used type: it has a reinforced upper deck (grid or solid) with anti-slip texture, and a lower side consisting of 9 feet or 3 longitudinal runners for forklift/fork entry from two or four directions. There is no bottom deck board.
The Plastic Single Face Pallet Mould is the large-format injection mold that shapes molten HDPE or PP into these cost-effective, lightweight load platforms. At ZHONGYUE MOULD (Huangyan, Taizhou, China), we design and build custom single-face pallet molds for standard Euro (1200×800mm), ISO (1200×1000mm), and bespoke sizes—featuring Moldflow-validated gating, Beryllium Copper (BeCu) cooling, and precision-machined 9-leg demolding systems.

Single face pallet molds are massive (mold weight 8–15 tons) and subject to high clamping forces (1600T–2800T machines).
Mold Base: Reinforced S50C / P20 pre-hardened base (thickened support pillars to prevent cavity deflection under pack pressure).
Cavity / Core Inserts: 718H (1.2738, HRC 33–38) standard; H13 (1.2344, HRC 44–48) for high-volume / recycled-HDPE runs.
Wear Parts: Slide blocks, angle pins, and ejector sleeves are nitrided or fitted with wear plates.
Large single-face pallets (deck Ø 1100–1200mm) require 8 to 16-drop valve-gated or open hot runner systems (YUDO / Anole / Synventive compatible) to:
Fill the thin deck ribs and thick foot areas simultaneously
Avoid weld lines on the top deck where loads bear down
Eliminate cold sprue → shorter cycle
For budget-sensitive startups we also offer 3-plate cold runner designs with sequential pin-point gates.
Pallet molds have thick intersection zones at leg-to-deck junctions—major heat traps. Our cooling strategy:
Deep-drilled baffles & bubblers in each of the 9 legs
Mold-Max / BeCu inserts at deck-rib crossings and central hub
Parallel water circuits with individual flow regulators → typical cycle time 70–120 seconds (pallet weight 6–15 kg)
The tapered feet/runners are undercuts requiring positive action:
Hydraulic cylinders + angle lifters or cam-driven slides for leg sidewalls
Ejector block / stripper plate with long guide pillars supporting full stroke
Optional early-eject mechanism (mold opens 5–10mm → ejection begins) to shorten machine cycle
Top deck textured with diamond / stippled anti-slip pattern; bottom feet can be smooth or lightly textured.
Embossed company logo, RFID pocket, date code cavity, barcode area — all integrated per your artwork.
