For Ag⁺/ZnO anti-microbial or carbon-loaded ESD PP: sintered porous steel vent inserts (10–20μm pore) at last-fill zone (lid crown & deep-core shoulder) + 0.01–0.015mm parting-line vents → prevent burn marks from additive particles. Vent inserts accessible from mold exterior for cleaning/replacement.
Gate positioned on lid inner flange or box top inner flange — vestige hidden from outer face; flow-length balanced per cavity. We run Moldflow filler + dye-trace simulation to confirm no weld/meld line on visible lid-top surface; advise MB let-down rate (1–2%) & screw recovery rpm to avoid splay/streaks on large satin-finished flats.
