Q: Does this mold include the wheels and metal axle?

A: No. The body mold forms the bin barrel and the wheel-hub recess / axle slot (via slide or loose insert). Wheels (PP/HDPE with bearing) and galvanized steel axle are purchased components assembled post-molding — NOT injection molded in this tool.

Q: What material do you recommend — HDPE or PP?

A: HDPE (MFR 0.03–0.08, UV-stabilized, high ESCR) is industry standard for 120L/240L wheelie bins — excellent impact & stress-crack resistance outdoors. PP+UV is sometimes used for smaller 30L/60L curbside bins but less common for heavy-duty wheelie bins.

Q: Hot runner or direct sprue gate?

A: For 120L/240L HDPE bins we recommend direct sprue gating (machine nozzle contacts sprue bush, no runner) or a 1–2 tip open hot runner (YUDO/SYNVENTIVE). Cold runner is only advisable for small 30L/60L bins. Sequential valve gate is unnecessary — top-gated HDPE fills downwards.

Q: Can you also quote the matching lid mold?

A: Yes — we quote the outdoor bin body as 1×1 cavity and the lid as 1×1 or 2-cavity mold (shorter cycle). Color-coded recycling lids (different colors) may share one lid mold & just change MB — we can confirm.

Q: What do you need for a quotation?
